Embassies and international organizations have provided and pledged aid to storm-affected localities of about 7.2 million USD in cash and goods worth about 2.5 million USD to be distributed to people.

On the morning of October 28, the Disaster Risk Reduction Partnership ( Ministry of Agriculture and Environment ) held a ceremony to acknowledge the support of the international community for the Vietnamese people after storms No. 10 (Bualoi) and 11 (Matmo), with an amount of about 9.7 million USD.
Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Environment Nguyen Hoang Hiep and UN Resident Coordinator in Vietnam Pauline Tamesis co-chaired the ceremony. Also attending were Ambassadors from Australia, South Korea, Ireland, Singapore, Canada; representatives of the European Union Delegation to Vietnam, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and other international organizations.
Specifically, Deputy Minister Nguyen Hoang Hiep said that up to this point, embassies and international organizations have provided aid and pledged to provide aid to localities affected by storm No. 10 and storm No. 11 with about 7.2 million USD in cash and goods worth about 2.5 million USD to the people.
At the ceremony, Mr. Hiep presented the support symbol of the Disaster Risk Reduction Partnership to embassies of countries and representatives of international organizations that contributed to the work of supporting Vietnamese people after the storm.
Deputy Minister Nguyen Hoang Hiep also expressed his gratitude for the valuable support from the international community for Vietnamese people affected by natural disasters; and shared the orientation of the Government and the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment on natural disaster prevention and control in the coming time.
In order to continue to recover and rebuild better, Deputy Minister Nguyen Hoang Hiep hopes that friendly countries and international organizations will continue to support localities in developing commune-level disaster prevention and control plans, enhancing the capacity of disaster prevention and control shock forces, supporting the restoration of public works; consolidating the early warning system and enhancing international cooperation in disaster management.
Sharing at the ceremony, Ms. Pauline Tamesis - United Nations Resident Coordinator in Vietnam said that the ceremony to recognize the international community's support for the Vietnamese people after the storm is an opportunity to review the United Nations' activities in responding to natural disasters in the past and to better orient international support in the future.
The United Nations Resident Coordinator in Vietnam highly appreciated the Department of Dyke Management and Disaster Prevention and the Office of Disaster Risk Reduction Partnership for their timely assessment and support solutions to international organizations for disaster relief and assistance.

Ms. Gillian Bird - Australian Ambassador to Vietnam said that Australia has provided Vietnam with 3 million Australian dollars in aid. The first shipment of aid arrived on October 14. Australia's priority support targets are vulnerable groups such as women, children, ethnic minorities, and people with disabilities. The 2025 aid follows the 4 million Australian dollars in aid to support Vietnam when it was affected by Typhoon Yagi last year.
Ms. Gillian Bird also affirmed that Australia is committed to providing long-term support to Vietnam to enhance its ability to cope with climate change.
Korean Ambassador to Vietnam Choi Youngsam also said that in 2024, Korea will provide Vietnam with 2 million USD in aid. This year (2025), Korea will continue to provide 1 million USD in aid to support disaster response. The aid focuses on urgent needs such as home repairs and timely livelihood restoration. Korea wants to closely coordinate and exchange to ensure that aid reaches the right target, in a practical way...
The Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Environment pledged that 100% of the aid would reach the Vietnamese people in a transparent and targeted manner. The Vietnamese people would use it for the right purposes and most effectively.
The Disaster Risk Reduction Partnership has 32 member organizations, including 3 Ministries (Agriculture and Environment, National Defense, Industry and Trade) and 29 international organizations. The Partnership was established on October 12, 2019 based on the Government's permission (with the appraisal of the Ministry of Home Affairs). Deputy Minister Nguyen Hoang Hiep is the chairman of the partnership and Ms. Pauline Tamesis, United Nations Coordinator, is the co-chair./.
