- On the afternoon of October 28, a working delegation from the Ministry of Ethnic Minorities and Religions led by Ms. Nong Thi Ha, Deputy Minister of Ethnic Minorities and Religions led the delegation to visit and give gifts to ethnic minorities and prestigious people affected by storm No. 10 and storm No. 11 in That Khe commune and Trang Dinh commune.
Joining the delegation were Mr. Tran Thanh Nhan, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions.
According to statistics, due to the impact of the storm, That Khe commune had over 1,200 households evacuated, 4 households affected by landslides; 2 bridges were washed away; more than 180 hectares of crops were damaged. Total damage is estimated at about 7.5 billion VND.


In Trang Dinh commune, nearly 1,800 households were affected; of which 840 households were isolated, 1 house collapsed, 4 houses were eroded. Total damage was more than 6.8 billion VND.


Here, on behalf of the working delegation, the Deputy Minister of Ethnic Minorities and Religions shared the heavy losses suffered by the people of the two communes affected by storms No. 10 and No. 11. He acknowledged the efforts of the local Party Committee and authorities in overcoming the consequences of natural disasters, helping people stabilize their lives. At the same time, he requested that all levels and sectors continue to pay attention and promptly support people to soon stabilize their residences and restore production.
On this occasion, the delegation presented 32 gifts, each worth 2 million VND to prestigious people in Trang Dinh and That Khe communes; presented 350 gifts, totaling 350 million VND including cash and essential necessities to people in Trang Dinh and That Khe communes affected by storms and floods.

During the program, the Ministry of Ethnic Minorities and Religions and philanthropists donated 100 million VND to the Relief Fund of Lang Son province.

Speaking at the program, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee sincerely thanked the delegation of the Ministry of Ethnic Minorities and Religions for their timely attention and sharing. With the tradition of solidarity and overcoming difficulties, Lang Son province will continue to mobilize resources, promptly overcome the consequences so that people can soon have stable housing, ensure essential needs; and promote production recovery. He hopes that the people of That Khe and Trang Dinh communes will continue to promote the spirit of solidarity, self-reliance, proactively overcome difficulties, and improve their lives.

During the program, the delegation visited and presented gifts to the families of Mr. Luc Van Nun and Mr. Luc Van Nguyen, in Cap Ke village, That Khe commune, who are in difficult circumstances and affected by storms and floods. Each gift is worth 5 million VND.
