Southern Quang Tri and eastern Quang Ngai provinces have heavy rain, rainfall of 80-180mm, locally very heavy rain over 350mm. From Ha Tinh to northern Quang Tri, there will be moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms, rainfall ranging from 70-140mm, in some places very heavy rain over 250mm.
Mr. Nguyen Van Huong, Head of Weather Forecasting Department, National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, said that while rain is showing a tendency to decrease after October 30, floods in the Central region, focusing on the South of Quang Tri to Da Nang, continue to remain high.
Rivers in Hue and Da Nang cities remain at alert level 3 (BĐ3), some places are above BĐ3, have peaked and will gradually decrease in the coming time. However, flooding in Hue and Da Nang still remains.

Accordingly, floods on Huong River and Bo River (Hue City) are slowly receding, floods on Vu Gia - Thu Bon River (Da Nang City) are fluctuating at a high level, and floods on Tra Khuc River (Quang Ngai) are rising.
The water level at 2:00 a.m. on October 29 on Bo River (Hue City) at Phu Oc station was 4.46m, 0.04m below alarm level (BĐ3); on Huong River (Hue City) at Kim Long station was 4.22m, 0.72m above BĐ3.
On Vu Gia River (Da Nang City) at Ai Nghia station is 10.12m, on BĐ3 1.12m; on Thu Bon River (Da Nang City) at Cau Lau station is 5.22m, on BĐ3 1.22m; on Tra Khuc River at Tra Khuc station is 5.35m, on BĐ2 0.35m.
It is forecasted that in the next 24 hours, floods on the Huong and Bo rivers will continue to decrease. Water levels on the Bo river at Phu Oc station will fall below level 3, and on the Huong river at Kim Long station will remain above level 3. Floods on the Vu Gia - Thu Bon rivers will continue to fluctuate at a high level and above level 3 by about 1.1-1.2m; floods on the Tra Khuc river will continue to rise and be at levels 2-3.
Mr. Huong added that due to the impact of heavy rain lasting for many days, which may last until October 30, the western provinces of Quang Tri - Quang Ngai continue to be at risk of warning. Flash floods and landslides are at a very high level in the coming time, level 3 natural disaster risk, the highest level in the level of natural disaster risk due to flash floods and landslides.
"With the trend of rain expanding to the North, the West of Quang Tri province (ie the West of the old Quang Binh province) and the West of Ha Tinh province are likely to be at risk of flash floods and landslides in the coming time." Mr. Huong informed.
