Urgent flood news on rivers in Hue and Da Nang

The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting said, flood on the Perfume River ( Hue City) reached its peak and is receding, the flood peak at Kim Long station at 8:00 p.m. on October 27 was 5.05m, 1.55m above alarm level 3.

Floods on Vu Gia - Thu Bon River (Da Nang City) are fluctuating at their peak. Floods on Bo River (Hue City) and Tra Khuc River ( Quang Ngai ) are receding.

Water level at 2:00 a.m. on October 28 on Bo River (Hue City) at Phu Oc station was 4.76m, above BĐ3 0.26m; on Huong River (Hue City) at Kim Long station was 4.74m, above BĐ3 1.24m; on Vu Gia River (Da Nang City) at Ai Nghia station was 10.16m, above BĐ3 1.16m; on Thu Bon River (Da Nang City) at Nong Son station was 17.81m, above BĐ3 2.81m; at Cau Lau station was 5.20m, above BĐ3 1.20m; on Tra Khuc River (Quang Ngai) at Tra Khuc station was 4.71m, below BĐ2 0.29m.

Floods are still raging in the central provinces.

It is forecasted that in the next 12 hours, the flood on Vu Gia river at Ai Nghia station will peak at 1.2m above BĐ3, then decrease; on Thu Bon river at Cau Lau station will peak at 5.3m, 1.3m above BĐ3, then fluctuate at a high level; Huong river at Kim Long station will gradually decrease and be 0.6m above BĐ3; Bo river at Phu Oc station will decrease below BĐ3 by 0.2m. Flood on Tra Khuc river will gradually decrease and be 0.7m below BĐ2.

In the next 12-24 hours, floods on rivers will gradually recede; Bo River at Phu Oc station is 0.6m below level 3; Huong River at Kim Long station is at level 3; Vu Gia River at Ai Nghia station is 0.1m below level 3; Thu Bon River at Cau Lau station is 0.6m above level 3; floods on Tra Khuc River at Tra Khuc station fluctuate above level 1.

From the morning of October 28 to the night of October 29, South Quang Tri to Da Nang city and the East of Quang Ngai province Heavy to very heavy rain, rainfall in South Quang Tri and East Quang Ngai province is 150-300mm, some places over 500mm, Hue city and Da Nang city fluctuates from 200-400mm, locally over 600mm. Ha Tinh to North Quang Tri has moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms, rainfall is 80-150mm, some places very heavy rain over 300mm.
