TUY AN: Mobilizing support for more than 1,600 working days to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses

According to the Tuy An District Fatherland Front Committee, up to now, the Fatherland Front at all levels and socio-political organizations, and related units have mobilized to support more than 1,600 working days in eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses for meritorious people, poor and near-poor households in the district.

With this support, up to now, Tuy An district has started to build new houses and repair 339/342 houses for poor and near-poor households. Of these, 230 houses have been completed. In addition, the district has also started to build new houses for 33/36 houses and repaired 238/251 houses for people with meritorious services.

According to Mr. Le Thanh Nam, Deputy Head of the Steering Committee for Eliminating Temporary and Dilapidated Houses in Tuy An District, because the support level of 60 million VND/house is not enough for new construction, the district focuses on mobilizing the participation of the entire political system, taking advantage of the cooperation and support of the business community, philanthropists, cadres, party members, members of local organizations and people in villages and hamlets to contribute resources and working days to support meritorious people, poor and near-poor households to complete new construction and repair of houses. Thanks to this support, the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the district is being implemented according to the set plan.
