On the afternoon of July 28, the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City issued instructions on additional enrollment in grade 10 for the 2025-2026 school year for high schools in Region 1 (old Ho Chi Minh City area).

In the list of 37 schools, Ngo Gia Tu, Nguyen Van Tang, Da Phuoc, Phong Phu, and Trung Lap High Schools recruited the most, with 169 to 262 students. These are schools in suburban areas, with the first-choice standard score of 10.5, the lowest in the city.

Some schools with top admission scores also recruit more, but with fewer quotas (about 15-80 students), such as Tran Dai Nghia Secondary and High School, Nguyen Thuong Hien, Phu Nhuan, and Le Quy Don.

Notably, Gia Dinh High School, despite sharply reducing its benchmark score to 18.75 points, a decrease of 4.25 points compared to the previous school year, still recruited 87 more students.

According to regulations, candidates who want to register for additional admission must not have passed any previous admission wishes and have a total admission score at least equal to the school's first admission standard score.

Students can only choose one choice, submit their report cards to the school from July 30 to August 4, and cannot change their choice after submitting their supplementary enrollment application. The results will be announced on August 8.
