Commendation for Thanh Hoa football team winning the National Super Cup

Thanh Hoa Provincial leaders presented a certificate of merit from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to the collective of Dong A Thanh Hoa Football Club.

In the 2023 football season, Dong A Thanh Hoa Club excellently won the National Cup championship after overcoming many opponents from the qualifying round until defeating Viettel Club in the final match. This is the first time in history since 1962 that Thanh Hoa has won the National Cup title.

By becoming the National Cup champion, Dong A Thanh Hoa Club will participate in the 2023 National Super Cup match against Hanoi Police Club, the team that won the Night Wolf V.League 1.2023 National Championship.

In the match for the National Super Cup - THACO Cup 2023 at Hang Day Stadium (Hanoi) on the afternoon of October 6, Dong A Thanh Hoa played extremely impressively to have a convincing 3-1 victory over Hanoi Police. In which, striker Rimario Gordon scored two goals and center back Gustavo Santos scored one goal to help Dong A Thanh Hoa win the National Super Cup 2023. This is the second time that the Thanh team has won the National Super Cup (the first time was the National Super Cup in 2009).

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Do Minh Tuan, Chairman of Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, acknowledged, commended and congratulated the achievements of Dong A Thanh Hoa Football Club, and affirmed that the achievement of winning the National Super Cup in 2023 of Dong A Thanh Hoa Football Club continued to be an important and proud historical milestone. The achievement of winning the National Cup and National Super Cup in 2023 is the foundation and motivation for Thanh Hoa football to continue to achieve even better results in the new season 2023-2024 and the following years.

The Chairman of Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee requested the Party committees, authorities and the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Thanh Hoa to continue to effectively implement the "Project on developing physical training and sports in Thanh Hoa province until 2030, with a vision to 2045" and the "Plan on developing Thanh Hoa football for the period 2021-2025, with a vision to 2030". Pay more attention to and do better in youth football training to create a source of high-quality young players for the provincial football team and mobilize social resources to support the province's professional football team to compete successfully in the following seasons.
