On the afternoon of April 23, the Vietnamese women's futsal team (ranked 11th in the world ) met Fugador Sumida Ladies Club in the first friendly match in Japan to prepare for the upcoming 2025 Asian Women's Futsal Championship finals in China.
Fugador Sumida Ladies Club is quite strong, having won the 2023 All-Japan Futsal Championship. Therefore, the match was very fast from the start. The Vietnamese women's futsal team took an early 2-0 lead after only 8 minutes thanks to Thanh Ngan. This was also the final result of the match.
Evaluating the friendly match, coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang shared: "The opposing team has relatively good quality players. They played with high intensity and continuously increased the speed of the match.

Meanwhile, we entered the game well and controlled the game to win. However, the players need to improve their finishing and defense skills. Because at some points, the defense still did not control the situations well."
Although there are still some points that need to be adjusted, coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang affirmed that the coaching staff is satisfied with the performance of the whole team in this first friendly match.
According to the plan, tomorrow (April 24), the whole team will rest to recover their physical strength. The coaching staff will have a technical meeting with the players, analyze the match video to gain experience and correct mistakes. All to best prepare for the next match against the Japanese women's futsal team (ranked 10th in the world) on April 25.
The training trip in Japan is an important preparation step, helping the Vietnamese women's futsal team accumulate experience, improve physical strength and competitive spirit in order to compete well in the final round of the 2025 Asian Women's Futsal Championship.
After finishing training in Japan, the Vietnamese women's futsal team will go to Inner Mongolia (China) on May 1 to have a final friendly match with the Chinese women's futsal team on May 3 before officially participating in the tournament.
The 2025 AFC Women's Futsal Championship finals will take place from May 6 to 17 in China. This tournament will also determine three Asian tickets to the 2025 Futsal World Cup at the end of the year, along with the host Philippines.
The Vietnamese women's futsal team is in Group B and will meet Hong Kong (May 7), the Philippines (May 9) and Iran (May 11).
