Tuyen Quang deploys tasks for the 2025-2026 school year

GD&TĐ - On August 7, Tuyen Quang held a meeting to deploy key tasks of the education and training sector for the 2025-2026 school year.

According to the report of the Department of Education and Training of Tuyen Quang , the whole province currently has 1,054 schools, including 7 non-public schools; 1,803 separate schools, 17,217 groups/classes with 493,707 students.

Notably, 78% of students are ethnic minorities and 36.3% of students are studying at boarding and semi-boarding schools.

Educational infrastructure is still limited, only 64.71% of schools meet national standards, 70.7% of classrooms are solidly built; there is a lack of teaching equipment, subject classrooms, clean water facilities, online classrooms... Currently, 197/695 general schools still do not have computer rooms, or have them but they do not meet standards.

The system of schools and school locations continues to be streamlined and appropriate; the system of boarding and semi-boarding schools for ethnic minorities is expanded in scale and gradually improved in quality. The quality of mass education and key education has developed, achieving some outstanding results.

However, the number of inter-level schools is still small and the area is large, so it affects the rate of mobilizing students to continue studying high school after graduating from junior high school.

The conditions for caring for and nurturing students in ethnic minority boarding schools are still limited, especially in border communes. The whole province is currently short of 1,326 teachers compared to the assigned number and 3,794 teachers compared to the norm prescribed by the Ministry of Education and Training . There is a lack of recruitment sources for teachers in some subjects, especially English, IT, and Math.

In the period of 2025 - 2030, the Tuyen Quang Education and Training sector sets a target of the rate of schools meeting national standards: 73% of preschools, 80% of primary schools, 71% of secondary schools, 61% of high schools; 100% of classrooms are solidified; ensuring enough teachers according to the Law on Education; 100% of communes meet the standards of universal preschool education for children 3-5 years old; universal primary education level 3, universal secondary education and illiteracy eradication level 2. Focus on investing and directing the implementation of the Project to build primary and secondary boarding schools for ethnic minorities in 17 border communes according to the direction of the Government...

At the meeting, delegates focused on discussing contents related to: Preparations for the 2025-2026 school year; developing the school network, especially in border areas; arranging and rationally organizing the teaching staff after merging administrative units; promoting decentralization and enhancing the effectiveness of local education management in the context of converting to a two-level government model.

Speaking at the meeting, Ms. Vuong Ngoc Ha, Vice Chairman of Tuyen Quang Provincial People's Committee, requested the Department of Education and Training to calculate the plan and number of rotations and secondments of leaders, staff and teachers at educational institutions. Review all staff shortages in each department and implement the ordering mechanism to quality recruitment sources; place orders for teacher training at all levels from the 2025-2026 school year.

Immediately deploy the equipment of online classrooms; have vertical direction and coordinate with Party committees and authorities of communes to implement democratic regulations at the grassroots level. Promote the revolutionary ethics of Party members in the new situation.

The Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Tuyen Quang province requested the Department of Education and Training to direct the number of students, especially preschool students. Calculate the appropriate transfer of preschool students from the school to the main school. Focus on innovating teaching methods, testing and evaluation according to the orientation of developing students' qualities and abilities.

Promote career education and student orientation after junior high school and high school; Enhance digital transformation, innovate school governance; proactively advise on including education in local development action programs.

Replicate the green library model, build images of scenic spots, teach traditional culture and preserve the cultural identity of ethnic groups; Pay attention to school psychology issues.
