Enrollment for the first level of school before June 30, no limitation on commune administrative boundaries

On June 10, according to information from the Departmentof Education and Training (DoET) of Bac Lieu province, the department directed kindergartens, primary schools, and secondary schools to enroll students at the beginning of the school year (grade 1, grade 6) for the 2025-2026 school year in the province before June 30.

Completing enrollment early will be convenient for units, especially when localities are now starting to merge wards and communes (ending district-level activities).

Mr. Nguyen Van Nguyen, acting Director of the Department of Education and Training of Bac Lieu province, said that the department has also directed the Departments of Education and Training and high schools with junior high school level to strengthen management and enrollment of preschool, primary and junior high school students.

In particular, educational institutions organize enrollment in a flexible manner to ensure students' right to study; create the most favorable conditions for students to study in accordance with the actual situation in the locality.

"In particular, preschool, primary and secondary school enrollment is not limited by commune-level administrative boundaries," informed the leader of the Department of Education and Training of Bac Lieu province.

The Department of Education and Training also requested that educational institutions continue to implement regional priority policies and regimes for students who are receiving priority according to current zoning decisions, until a new decision is issued to replace them.

For educational institutions that cannot complete enrollment work before June 30 due to objective reasons, the Department of Education and Training must complete the handover documents to the People's Committee at the commune level after the end of the department's operations according to the instructions of the People's Committee at the district level, so as not to interrupt enrollment and educational activities in the area.

The Department also requested the Department of Education and Training and high schools with junior high school level to strengthen inspection of enrollment of educational institutions; in case of necessity, establish a rapid response team to promptly support schools, families and students with difficulties and problems in enrollment.
