21-year-old Indonesian striker Justin Hubner has just shared his joy on his personal Instagram when receiving the "Player of the Season" title voted by his teammates at U21 Wolverhampton Wanderers. This title was decided through an internal vote and Hubner won the highest number of votes.
According to Sofascore, Indonesian international Hubner has played 16 matches for Wolverhampton U21 this season in two competitions: Premier League 2 (the replacement for the Premier League U21, for under-23s) and England National League Cup. As captain, he helped the team finish Premier League 2 in 14th place out of 26.

Having joined the club in 2022, Hubner has been promoted to the first team once, in a match against Arsenal on December 2, 2023. Although he has recently been regularly training with the first team, he has yet to make his official debut in the Premier League.
Recently, Hubner also unexpectedly confirmed that he will leave Wolverhampton when his contract ends on June 30, 2025. "I will leave the club in the near future" - he shared.
In the immediate future, Hubner will join the Indonesian team to prepare for the third qualifying round of the 2026 World Cup in Asia. Indonesia will meet China on June 5 in Jakarta in the ninth match of Group C, before visiting Japan on June 10 in Suita.
Both Indonesia and China are now hoping to finish third or fourth to qualify for the World Cup play-offs, given the large points gap with Japan and Australia.
However, Chinese press and experts have recently expressed concern that coach Branko Ivankovic's team is currently weaker than the Indonesian team.
