Mr. Le Thanh Canh, Chairman of the People's Committee of Hoang Truong Commune, Hoang Hoa District, Thanh Hoa Province, on May 20 issued a document requiring illegal businesses that have set up tents and stalls on the beach to dismantle them before May 21. If any business does not voluntarily dismantle them, the government will start a campaign to dismantle them on May 22.
Tents and stalls were everywhere on Hai Tien beach when the press first started investigating.
Hai Tien beach (in front of Flamingo Linh Truong resort) was cleared of tents after the press got involved. Photo taken on the morning of May 21.
On the morning of May 21, the entire 1 km long beach right in front of Flamingo Linh Truong Resort (Hoang Truong Commune, Hoang Hoa District) was cleared of tents and shacks by local people, returning space to the beach.
However, there are still many corrugated iron shower houses that have not been dismantled. Many households said they went to this area to set up poles and tents to sell water and snacks.
"Immediately after receiving the government's notice, we voluntarily dismantled the tents and returned the beach to its original location," said a resident of Hoang Truong commune.
Although the tents have been dismantled by the people, there are still kiosks made of corrugated iron and plastic on the beach that have not been dismantled.
Previously, as reported by Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper , recently, many tourists visiting Hai Tien beach (the area in front of Flamingo Linh Truong resort) in Hoang Truong commune, Hoang Hoa district, Thanh Hoa province were very upset when the sandbank along this beach was being occupied by people, who set up tents everywhere to sell goods, making the space for tourists to play and swim no longer available.
It is worth mentioning that along the kilometer-long beach, people not only set up tents but also erected many bunkers made of fixed corrugated iron, which looked shabby and offensive, and tourists had no way to get to the beach.
The scene of stalls and shops scattered on the beach before made it impossible for people to get to the beach.
Regarding this, the representative of Hoang Hoa District People's Committee admitted that the Flamingo Linh Truong Eco -tourism and Resort is currently experiencing illegal encroachment of sidewalks, sandbanks, and beaches to illegally set up tents and shops and conduct business. Hoang Hoa District has taken action, identified 30 cases of tents and encroachment of beaches and sandbanks, and directed the authorities to mobilize people to dismantle them and report to the district before May 25.
In the directive document, the People's Committee of Hoang Hoa district also assigned the Hoang Truong Commune Police to investigate whether or not to handle according to the law the subjects illegally occupying sidewalks, coastlines, and beaches assigned to households to build tents and stalls for business.
People dismantle tents and leave the beach
Summarize the investigation results and report to the Director of Thanh Hoa Provincial Police, Chairman of the People's Committee of Hoang Truong district and commune before May 30.
