On the afternoon of August 4, the Dong Hai Fishing Port Management Board coordinated with the Department of Fisheries, Seas and Islands, Dong Hai Border Guard Station, and Dong Hai Ward Police to disseminate regulations on combating illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing to 30 ship owners and captains of fishing boats in Dong Hai Ward.

Ship owners and captains of fishing vessels are informed and guided on the provisions of the Fisheries Law; the responsibilities of fishermen in complying with regulations on combating IUU fishing, especially not allowing people and fishing vessels to illegally exploit seafood in foreign waters; fishing vessels with a length of 15m or more must install and maintain a connection to a device to monitor the fishing vessel's journey... When participating in seafood exploitation activities, fishermen must comply with the regulations on declaration before leaving or arriving at the port; record and submit fishing logs in accordance with regulations; activities must be in the correct fishing area; strictly implement regulations on food safety conditions, maintain environmental hygiene at fishing ports...
In the first 7 months of this year, at Dong Hai Fishing Port, there were 859 fishing boats leaving the port for exploitation, 877 boats arriving at the port, with seafood output through the port of 9,837 tons.
