Propaganda to celebrate major holidays and important historical events of the country in 2025 in the library sector

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has just issued Official Dispatch No. 239/BVHTTDL-TV on propaganda to celebrate major holidays and important historical events of the country in 2025 in the library sector.

Accordingly, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism requests the Departments of Culture, Sports and Tourism/Departments of Culture and Sports to direct and guide local library systems to organize propaganda activities to celebrate major holidays and important historical events in 2025 in conjunction with the regular tasks of the unit, specifically:

- Strengthen information and propaganda work to all classes of people, especially the young generation, about the nation's historical, cultural and revolutionary traditions; educate political ideology; strongly arouse the spirit of patriotism, self-confidence, self-reliance, self-reliance, national pride, aspiration to contribute and the strength of great national unity in the cause of national renewal and international integration under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam through activities to celebrate major holidays and important historical events of the country in 2025: Celebrating the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2025) and welcoming the Lunar New Year; Hung Kings' death anniversary (March 10 of the lunar calendar); 50 years of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025); 71st anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory Day (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2025); 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025); 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025)...; and local holidays and anniversaries, contributing to creating high unity within the Party, social consensus to effectively implement the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's policies and laws; promote the combined strength of the entire political system and the People to encourage and motivate the entire Party, people and army to take advantage of opportunities and strive to overcome difficulties and challenges, creating new confidence and new momentum to accelerate, break through, promote patriotic emulation movements, and be determined to successfully implement the Resolution of the 13th National Congress towards the 14th National Congress of the Party.

- Based on the specific situation and conditions, libraries at all levels shall preside over and coordinate with local agencies and units to organize activities to display and exhibit books, newspapers, documents, knowledge competitions, promote and introduce books, seminars, thematic talks, organize Book and Reading Culture Day, book streets, book streets, mobile services, compile specialized information publications, specialized directories, etc., and at the same time strengthen propaganda activities on cyberspace about major holidays and important historical events of the country in 2025; closely follow the outline and propaganda instructions of the Central Propaganda Department and competent agencies.

- Propaganda and celebration activities are organized in many appropriate forms, with focus and key points, ensuring solemnity, economy, efficiency, and compliance with current regulations; associated with propaganda for Party congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term, the 14th National Congress of the Party with the implementation of socio-economic development tasks, political events of the country, ministries, branches, localities and the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, creating an exciting atmosphere of patriotic emulation among all classes of people.

In order to contribute to the effective implementation of propaganda work to celebrate major holidays and important historical events in 2025, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism issued Official Dispatch No. 286/SVHTTDL-QLVHGĐ dated January 20, 2025 requesting the Provincial Library, Department of Culture and Information; Cultural - Radio - Television Centers of districts, towns and cities to effectively implement propaganda work to celebrate major holidays and important historical events in 2025 in conjunction with the tasks of the unit.
