Propagating traffic safety laws through mock trials attracts many students

On November 29, at Ho Chi Minh City University of Law, the National Traffic Safety Committee coordinated with Cong Ly Newspaper, People's Police Academy, Ho Chi Minh City Traffic Safety Committee and other units to organize a program to disseminate laws on traffic safety and order, with the theme "Safe traffic participation skills", and the closing ceremony and awarding ceremony of the online contest "Learning about laws on traffic safety and order".

Speaking at the program, Associate Professor Dr. Tran Viet Dung, Vice Rector of Ho Chi Minh City University of Law, said that this is an important activity, helping students approach the law through visual, modern communication methods that are suitable for the school's legal training environment. In particular, the "Moot Court Model" document set is built from legally effective judgments and decisions and typical violation situations, thereby recreating legal regulations in a vivid, easy-to-understand and easy-to-absorb simulation form.

The series of activities attracted thousands of students to participate.

The combination of simulation videos , practical situations and expert analysis not only helps students clearly visualize the legal consequences of each violation, but also creates opportunities for them to directly observe the relationship between behavior - consequences - legal responsibility in the field of traffic safety.

At the program, many experts instructed on traffic participation skills, analyzed the causes, psychology and motivations leading to traffic violations... Student Tran Thi Huong (Ho Chi Minh City University of Law) said that today she was informed by the Traffic Police Department, Ho Chi Minh City Police, about safe traffic participation skills... Through that, she understood more about the unfortunate consequences if she was subjective and did not comply with the law.

“In particular, I was very impressed with the video clip “Mock Trial” which recreates the entire trial process of a typical traffic case related to the act of handing over a vehicle to an unqualified person,” student Tran Thi Huong shared.

The program ended with awarding activities, exchanges and interactions between students and organizing units. According to the general assessment, the model combining mock trial, legal analysis and online testing is opening up a new approach in legal propaganda, especially effective for young learners. The coordinating units expect the simulation system and online testing format to continue to be expanded, becoming an important part of the legal education strategy in the coming years.
