Determined to enter the semi-finals as group winners, the Vietnamese team took the field with a very strong lineup when Van Hau and Tan Tai returned to the wing, Hung Dung and Quang Hai played in the middle, and Tien Linh, Tuan Hai and Van Quyet played in the forward line. Right after the opening whistle, the Vietnamese team took the initiative to attack, approaching the Myanmar goal and creating an overwhelming game against a brave Myanmar team. In the 8th minute, Hung Dung opened the ball to the left wing, creating an opportunity for Van Hau to pass delicately to Van Quyet to escape into the penalty area. The number 10 midfielder crossed as if placed, causing central defender Kyaw Zin Lwin to fumble and score an own goal, putting the Vietnamese team ahead.
Thanks to Van Hau's return, the attacks on the left wing of the Vietnamese team were much more lethal. In the 28th minute, Van Hau proved his role when he crossed the ball, causing the Myanmar goalkeeper to fumble and miss the ball. Tien Linh seized the opportunity to finish close to the goal, raising the score to 2-0.
With a 2-goal advantage, the Vietnamese team proactively slowed down the tempo, but still had opportunities thanks to their ability to circulate the ball well between the lines. Van Quyet and Quang Hai had space to shoot, but there were no goals in the first half.
In the second half, although the Vietnamese team made personnel adjustments by replacing key players to ensure the semi-final match, they still created an overwhelming game. In the 72nd minute, Ngoc Quang had a shot from outside the penalty area, defeating the Myanmar goalkeeper, raising the score to 3-0.
In the remaining minutes, despite their efforts, the Myanmar players could not create any scoring opportunities. With a 3-0 victory over Myanmar, the Vietnamese team earned 10 points and won a ticket to the semi-finals as the first place in Group B.
