Foreign exchange rates on June 2, 2025: USD and CNY adjust up and down in opposite directions

DNVN - On the morning of June 2, the foreign exchange market recorded mixed fluctuations between the Vietnamese Dong (VND) and key currencies such as the USD and Chinese Yuan (CNY) at banks.

According to the update from the State Bank, the central exchange rate this morning was announced at 24,970 VND/USD, down 8 VND compared to the trading session on the morning of May 30. With a margin of ±5% compared to the central rate, the ceiling exchange rate was set at 26,219 VND/USD, while the floor rate was 23,722 VND/USD. The State Bank's transaction office currently quotes a buying price of 23,772 VND/USD and a selling price of 26,168 VND/USD.

At commercial banks at 8:20 a.m., the USD exchange rate at Vietcombank and BIDV was at 25,850 - 26,210 VND/USD (buying - selling), an increase of 20 VND compared to the morning of May 30.

Regarding the CNY exchange rate, at Vietcombank , the current trading price is 3,559 - 3,673 VND/CNY (buy - sell), down slightly by 4 VND compared to the morning of May 30. BIDV also recorded a similar decrease, bringing the exchange rate down to 3,577 - 3,675 VND/CNY (buy - sell).
