VND/USD exchange rate increases again in the free market

On the afternoon of April 22, the central USD/VND exchange rate continued to be adjusted downward by the State Bank. Meanwhile, the USD price at commercial banks increased again after yesterday's decrease.

On April 22, the central exchange rate of VND/USD pair announced by the State Bank was applied at 24,877 VND, down 30 VND compared to the rate applied on April 21.

With a margin of +/- 5%, the ceiling exchange rate today that commercial banks are allowed to trade with USD is 26,121 VND/USD and the floor exchange rate is 23,643 VND/USD.

The reference exchange rate between Vietnamese Dong and USD at the State Foreign Exchange Reserve Management Department is 23,684 - 26,070 VND/USD (buy - sell).

At Vietcombank (VCB), the exchange rate updated at 2:26 p.m. was 25,725-26,115 (buy - sell), an increase of 55 VND in both buying and selling compared to April 21.

The exchange rate at BIDV bank this afternoon is 25,760-26,120 (buy - sell), up 60 VND in both directions.

Early this afternoon, the exchange rate at the bank for buying was 25,758 - selling was 26,118, up 178 VND for buying and down 28 VND for selling.

On the free market, some foreign currency exchange points in Hanoi bought and sold this foreign currency at 26,320 - 26,420 VND/USD (buy and - sell), an increase of 35 VND compared to yesterday.
