Urbanization rate reached over 48.5%

Focusing on implementing solutions to accelerate the urbanization process, the province has directed the organization to establish the Master Program for urban construction and development of Vinh Phuc to 2030, with a vision to 2050 (2nd adjustment); organize the establishment of the Project for sustainable urban development of Vinh Phuc province to 2030, with a vision to 2045.

Approve the plan to organize the development program of Lang Cong, Duc Bac, Song Lo district; Nguyet Duc, Yen Lac district; Son Dong, Ban Gian, Hop Ly, Van Quan, Xuan Loi, Lap Thach district and the urban development program of Binh Xuyen, Vinh Tuong; organize the appraisal of the urban development program of Binh Xuyen; Nguyet Duc, Yen Lac district and Lang Cong, Duc Bac, Song Lo district...

Along with planning work, the province is interested in allocating investment resources to complete, upgrade and renovate the technical infrastructure system of existing urban areas; promoting investment attraction for housing projects, urban area projects, areas with new urban functions, etc.

Thanks to that, up to now, the province has had more than 30 urban areas, the urbanization rate has reached over 48.5%, expected to reach 50% by the end of 2025, completing the target set by the Resolution of the 17th Provincial Party Congress, term 2020-2025.
