Billionaire Gerard Williams forgives Dam Vinh Hung, ready to sing together

Recently, billionaire Gerard Williams shared for the first time details about the lawsuit between him and singer Dam Vinh Hung.

Singer Dam Vinh Hung must apologize to billionaire Gerard Williams no later than January 1, 2025.

Billionaire Gerard Williams (singer Bich Tuyen's husband) said that since receiving the compensation letter from Dam Vinh Hung, he and the male singer have not had any meeting or negotiation. The incident began when Dam Vinh Hung sent a letter demanding compensation from the billionaire, from 15 million USD, 20 million USD and finally up to 50 million USD. After receiving the compensation letter, he and his team of lawyers collected information about the case to proceed with a cross-sue against Dam Vinh Hung.

On December 2, Mr. Gerard Williams' cross-suit was accepted by the California Supreme Court. The petition requested Dam Vinh Hung to pay $1 in honor compensation and a public apology. Bich Tuyen's husband added that although his wife and some friends had advised him to reconcile and not sue Dam Vinh Hung, he would not withdraw the lawsuit, regardless of whether Dam Vinh Hung withdrew the lawsuit or not.

Mr. Gerard Williams affirmed that no one has the right to negotiate on behalf of him and his wife or his team of lawyers about this lawsuit. All exchanges with Dam Vinh Hung's side were conducted through Mr. Gerard Williams' team of lawyers.

According to US court law, singer Dam Vinh Hung has 30 days from December 2 to fulfill the plaintiff's request, specifically to publicly apologize and pay the billionaire $1 in compensation, otherwise Dam Vinh Hung will have to appear in court. Thus, the last day Dam Vinh Hung can apologize to Mr. Gerard Williams is January 1, 2025.

Talking about paying for singer Dam Vinh Hung's hospital expenses after the accident, Mr. Gerard Williams said that he felt he had to do it as a way to help a friend, not out of responsibility.

Regarding whether he felt any fault with singer Dam Vinh Hung and whether both apologized to each other as the male singer wished, Mr. Gerard Williams affirmed: "I did not apologize to Dam Vinh Hung for anything. I do not owe Dam Vinh Hung anything."

Sharing his feelings about his relationship with singer Dam Vinh Hung, Mr. Gerard Williams said that although the compensation must be done according to the law, in his heart, Mr. Gerard Williams has forgiven Dam Vinh Hung. Billionaire Gerard Williams said: "I no longer have any resentment in my heart and am willing to sing with Dam Vinh Hung if given the chance. He has a good voice and I really like Dam Vinh Hung's voice."

Sharing his feelings towards Vietnamese people and Vietnamese artists after the incident with Dam Vinh Hung, Mr. Gerard Williams said that his feelings have not changed. If invited to Vietnam by friends, he is willing to go, even many times.

When asked whether he will continue to invite guests to his home after this incident, Gerard Williams shared that he will still host family gatherings. However, when it comes to large parties, he will have to make some changes in the future.

On February 19, while attending a party at Mr. Gerard William’s mansion, singer Dam Vinh Hung was hit in the foot by debris from a concrete fountain that fell. This fountain was used as a stage and an outdoor beverage counter but was broken during the event.

After that, Dam Vinh Hung asked Mr. Gerard Richard Williams (51 years old) - singer Bich Tuyen's husband to compensate an amount of about 15 million USD, causing a stir in public opinion. According to the lawsuit, the plaintiff Hung Huynh (known by his stage name as singer Dam Vinh Hung) accused Mr. Gerard Richard Williams of failing to ensure the safety of guests at a party held at a mansion in Newport Coast (California, USA) in February 2024.

Next, singer Bich Tuyen said that she and her husband are currently not compromising on the amount of compensation that Dam Vinh Hung is demanding, which is 15 million USD. "Regarding Dam Vinh Hung's lawsuit of 15 million USD, my husband has done nothing wrong to demand such a large amount of compensation. We will go to court, and will not negotiate or compromise with Dam Vinh Hung."

However, on December 4, Dam Vinh Hung officially announced that he had withdrawn the lawsuit and would not re-file the lawsuit. He wanted both himself and billionaire Gerard William to apologize to each other as well as to the audience. Dam Vinh Hung also admitted that he had "made incorrect decisions that were completely contrary to his true self."
