Vietnam's U19 women's team entered the semi-finals as the winners of Group B after two victories with the score of 6-0 against Malaysia's U19 women and 5-0 against Singapore's U19 women, while Myanmar's U19 women entered the last four as the runners-up of Group C with a record of 1 win and 1 loss.

Vietnam U19 women's team did not start well when in the 10th minute, the opponent launched an attack with a long pass, goalkeeper Kieu My did not coordinate well with her teammates, creating an opportunity for striker Yin Loon Eain (10) to score the opening goal 1-0 for Myanmar U19 women. The early goal surprised the red-shirt players a bit, but they quickly consolidated their formation and organized an attack. With abundant physical strength, Coach Akira's students were the ones who took the initiative, deploying the ball on most of the opponent's field. However, the goal still did not come to Vietnam U19 women.
In the 34th minute, coach Akira unexpectedly sent midfielder Ly Linh Trang (13) and striker Ngan Thi Thanh Hieu (22) onto the field to replace Vu Thi Hoa (6) and Ta Thi Thuy (11) to strengthen the front line for the red team in hopes of finding an equalizer. However, it was not until the 43rd minute that the U19 women's team of Vietnam took a corner kick, the ball was passed into the right range for young striker Ngoc Minh Chuyen (10) to head the ball accurately and beautifully close to the goal, leveling the score 1-1 to the joy of the red team.
The second half brought mixed emotions to the fans. With the advantage of physique and physical strength, the Myanmar U19 women's players tried to gain control of the ball, creating some remarkable situations in front of the red team's goal. Goalkeeper Kieu My and her teammates had to work at full capacity with alertness to block some of the opponent's shots. The match was tense in the following minutes but still no goals were scored, forcing the two teams to enter extra time to determine the winner.

After much effort, in the 104th minute, Le Thi Trang (20) dribbled the ball at speed alone, finishing from the right wing at close range, raising the score to 2-1 to the joy of her teammates, before ending the first extra time. This was also the final score of the match when no more goals were scored in the second extra time, ending the 2-1 victory for coach Akira and his team after 120 minutes of hard-fought play.
Thus, the Vietnam U19 women's team will enter the final match, taking place at 7:30 p.m. on July 15, against the winner of the second semi-final match between Indonesia and Thailand, taking place at 7:30 p.m. tonight, July 13.
