Vietnam U19 women's team falls into easy group in Southeast Asian tournament

(NLDO) - The lucky draw has brought the Vietnam U19 women's team to compete with Myanmar, Laos and Timor Leste in the Southeast Asian U19 women's tournament in Ho Chi Minh City.

On the morning of May 9, the Southeast Asian Football Federation (AFF) held a draw ceremony for the 2025 Southeast Asian U19 Women's Championship. According to the results, the Vietnamese U19 women's team fell into Group A with opponents Myanmar, Laos and Timor Leste. The remaining group includes Thailand, Indonesia, Cambodia and Malaysia.

The young girls of Vietnamese women's football will enter the tournament with home field advantage. In the past three seasons, the Vietnamese U19 women's team has always been present in three finals (2014, 2022, 2023) but has not been able to touch the championship trophy and is determined to change history.

Results of the 2025 Southeast Asian Women's U19 Championship in Ho Chi Minh City

The Vietnam U19 women's team will officially gather on May 12 at Thanh Long Sports Center (HCMC), ready to take advantage of home field advantage and support from domestic fans to conquer the regional peak.

The tournament will take place from June 9 to 18 in Ho Chi Minh City, with three venues: Thong Nhat Stadium, District 8 Stadium and Phu Tho Stadium. The teams will compete in a round robin, selecting the top two teams in each group to enter the semi-finals, followed by the third-place match and the final.
