Vietnam team had to change players on the first day of training.

On the first day of training, the Vietnamese team did not have enough players and also received injury news of central defenders Nguyen Thanh Binh and Nguyen Thanh Chung.

On the afternoon of May 30 in Hanoi , the Vietnamese team had its first training session during the FIFA Days in June, preparing for the match against the Malaysian team on June 10, within the framework of the second match of Group F of the final qualifying round of the 2027 Asian Cup.

The whole team only has 15 players practicing. Therefore, the training content mainly helps the players maintain their ball feeling and create cohesion.

The coaching staff also received bad news when central defender Nguyen Thanh Binh (The Cong - Viettel ) and Nguyen Thanh Chung (Hanoi Club) were injured.

After careful consultation with the medical team, coach Kim Sang Sik decided to replace Nguyen Thanh Binh's position with central defender Dang Van Toi (Hai Phong Club) and Pham Ly Duc (from U22 who are training in parallel).

Thanh Chung's situation is better as he only has a muscle strain and can still practice with the team in the coming days.

It is expected that tomorrow (May 31), the team will welcome another group of players from B.Binh Duong and Cong An Ha Noi - there will be a make-up match of round 23 on the evening of May 30.

This group includes players: Vo Hoang Minh Khoa, Nguyen Tien Linh (B.Binh Duong), Nguyen Filip, Vu Van Thanh, Bui Hoang Viet Anh, Jason Quang Vinh, Nguyen Quang Hai (Hanoi Police).

As for the Hanoi Police Club players, the number of players who will be given the opportunity to join the team early will depend on the decision of the club's coaching staff. Because they still have a make-up match of round 20 of the V-League with Binh Dinh at 6pm on June 3.

After gathering, the Vietnamese team will practice at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center (VYF) and is expected to travel to Malaysia on June 6. Here, the team will have 3 more days of practice to get used to the weather and field conditions before the official match.
