Recently, the Drug Administration of Vietnam ( Ministry of Health ) has issued a decision to recall a series of cosmetic product declaration receipt numbers related to famous brands, including Dove shower gel and shampoo.

Dove affirms that products produced and sold by Unilever Vietnam are legal and safe.

In the face of many unfavorable rumors, tonight, May 31, the Dove brand - a unit under Unilever Vietnam International Company Limited - spoke up to clearly explain.

The brand said that the recent recall on the market was proactively carried out by PH Vietnam General Trading Company Limited (now renamed Human Offshore Partners Software Services Company Limited).

Therefore, it is completely unrelated to the production and distribution of genuine Dove shower gel and shampoo products for which Unilever Vietnam is responsible.

Dove brand affirms: shower gel and shampoo products manufactured and distributed by Unilever Vietnam have valid licenses issued by competent authorities, clearly stating that they are manufactured and distributed by Unilever Vietnam.

"We are always committed to ensuring product quality, origin and consumer safety," Dove emphasized.

To ensure product quality and genuine shopping needs, the brand recommends that customers choose products clearly labeled as manufactured and distributed by Unilever Vietnam at sales channels nationwide.

Dove and Unilever Vietnam brands said that with the motto of putting the needs and interests of consumers and partners first, the unit "always ensures and commits to transparency in business operations, ensures product quality as well as fully complies with current regulations set forth by competent authorities".

Based on information from the Drug Administration of Vietnam (Ministry of Health ), the recall of some Dove branded products comes from a voluntary request by Human Offshore Partners Company - the unit responsible for bringing the products to market.

When the registration number is revoked, Human Offshore Partners will temporarily stop supplying the relevant product to the market. However, the product bearing the same brand may still be distributed by other entities.
