U22 Vietnam does not have the strongest squad to compete with U22 China

U22 Vietnam will go to Chengdu, China to participate in the Panda Cup 2025 friendly tournament with matches against U22 China (6:35 p.m., November 12), U22 Uzbekistan (2:30 p.m., November 15) and U22 Korea (2:30 p.m., November 18).

According to the original plan, the team will gather from November 10 in Hanoi , but due to the 11th round of V.League 2025/26 being postponed by 1 day, the U22 Vietnam coaching staff was forced to change. There is only one direct flight from Hanoi to Chengdu every day at 9am, so the whole team will be divided into 3 groups to go to China.

Group 1, consisting of 12 players, will go to China with the coaching staff from November 10. This group, mainly consisting of players from PVF-CAND, The Cong, Da Nang , and Hai Phong, will end their duties at the club on the evening of November 9.

Group 2 will board the flight on November 11, including 8 players from HAGL, SLNA, Thanh Hoa, Ninh Binh , and Ho Chi Minh City Police after completing the V.League competition.

Group 3 will board the flight on November 12, including 6 players: Le Van Ha, Nguyen Van Truong (Hanoi), Pham Ly Duc, Pham Minh Phuc, Nguyen Dinh Bac (CAHN), Viktor Le (Ha Tinh). This group will miss the opening match between U22 Vietnam and U22 China at 6:35 p.m. the same day.

Leading the U22 Vietnam team to compete in the Panda Cup 2025 is acting head coach Dinh Hong Vinh. After the tournament, the team will continue to train in Ba Ria - Ho Chi Minh City from November 23 to 29, before moving to Thailand to participate in the SEA Games 33 campaign.
