Hai Duong City People's Committee proposed to build an overpass at Cat bridge intersection.

At the 8th session of the Hai Duong City People's Council, term XXII, 2021-2026, held on the morning of May 26, delegates voted to approve the construction and renovation of 3 school buildings to meet the needs ofeducational development in the area.

Hai Duong City People's Council delegates voted to approve the contents presented at the 8th session.

These include building a 4-storey classroom building and renovating and repairing a 3-storey classroom building at Le Hong Phong Secondary School; building a 4-storey classroom building at Tran Hung Dao Secondary School; and renovating the old Nguyen Binh Khiem High School into Quang Trung Kindergarten.

Also at the meeting, the City People's Council approved the plan to adjust the city budget estimate for 2022 after supplementing the revenue and expenditure estimates for land rent to be deducted when investors voluntarily paid in advance for compensation and site clearance in 2022 with an amount of more than 3.8 billion VND. Adjusting the capital source to implement the project to renovate and expand Vu Cong Dan road connecting Hai Duong city with Cam Giang and Binh Giang districts.

At the meeting, delegates gave their opinions on the proposal of the Hai Duong City People's Committee requesting approval of the investment policy for the project: Construction of an overpass at the Cat bridge intersection. According to the proposal of the City People's Committee, the project has a total estimated investment of more than 225 billion VND from the city budget and legal support sources. The implementation period is from 2023 to 2025, at the intersection of Le Thanh Nghi - Thong Nhat - Truong Chinh streets, Le Thanh Nghi ward. The bridge is designed to be permanent with a width of 11 m, arranged with 2 lanes for motor vehicles. The overpass put into operation and use will contribute to completing the traffic infrastructure, serving socio -economic development. At the same time, it ensures smooth traffic, minimizes traffic conflicts and safety risks.
