The Switzerland-Vietnam Economic Forum 2025 (SVEF 2025) took place for the first time in Vietnam, co-organized by the People's Committee of Da Nang City and the Embassy of Switzerland in Vietnam with the theme: "Innovative partnerships for sustainable growth: Connecting Vietnam to regional and global ecosystems".
The event attracted the participation of nearly 400 domestic and international delegates including leaders of State agencies, business community, investors and ecosystem partners from Switzerland, Vietnam, Europe and ASEAN.
This is a gathering place for public-private sector leaders of the two countries to promote substantive cooperation in trade, investment, innovation, towards long-term sustainable growth.
In his opening speech, Mr. Thomas Gass, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Switzerland to Vietnam, said that Switzerland is proud to accompany Vietnam in the development process.
Mr. Thomas Gass believes that with open trade based on principles, both sides will promote transparency in innovation development. Today's forum is expected to bring practical commitments and initiatives, contributing to promoting cooperation between Switzerland and Vietnam.

Within the framework of SVEF 2025, the in-depth content on “Pharmaceuticals and Healthcare Innovation” received special attention from delegates, experts and businesses.
Ms. Nguyen Do Quyen, Deputy General Director of FPT Retail and CEO of Long Chau pharmacy system and vaccination center, shared practical experience in the field of health care and contributed ideas on applying artificial intelligence (AI) in the journey of comprehensive health care.
Ms. Nguyen Do Quyen said that Long Chau currently owns 2,400 pharmacies and more than 200 vaccination centers nationwide, serving 33 million Vietnamese customers, equivalent to nearly 1/3 of the country's population, with more than 16 million transactions and 30 million visits to the system's website each month. Without technology, that journey would not be so fast and sustainable. Technology helps analyze, understand and build personalized health records for each customer, thereby providing more appropriate care solutions.
According to Ms. Nguyen Do Quyen, AI is a bridge that helps pharmacists provide timely advice, people identify disease risks better, and millions of customers comply with treatment more effectively. Notably, AI does not replace pharmacists, but accompanies them to support them. Thanks to that, each conversation and consultation with customers is not only faster and more accurate, but also closer and more trustworthy.

In addition to serving customers, AI is also strongly applied in training FPT Long Chau pharmacists. Accordingly, the pharmacist's curriculum is personalized by AI, helping pharmacists master professional knowledge, thereby improving their professional qualifications and being able to bring the best experience to customers.
Responding to the spirit of Resolution 72-NQ/TW of the Politburo and Resolution 282/NQ-CP of the Government on breakthroughs in public health care, the Long Chau pharmacy system and vaccination center are making efforts to gradually create a comprehensive health care ecosystem that focuses on customers and patients, closing the loop from prevention - treatment - long-term care; at the same time promoting the application of modern and equitable medical technology and services, for a healthier Vietnam.
From practical experience in the locality, Deputy Director of the Department of Health of Da Nang City Huynh Thuan said that digital transformation in the health sector is not only a concern of Da Nang but also a trend.
Da Nang has implemented many digital transformation solutions and initially achieved positive results. However, strengthening public-private cooperation is also an important content that needs to be promoted, because the private economic sector plays an essential role in promoting digital transformation in healthcare, bringing practical benefits to the people.
