Applying digital technology to innovate education.

To realize the goals of the National Digital Transformation Program and Resolution No. 57 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in the development of science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation, the education sector in Quang Ninh has been and continues to strive to apply modern technology to innovate and improve the quality of management, teaching, and learning. Digital transformation is gradually becoming a key factor in promoting fundamental and comprehensive reform of education and training in the digital age.

An English lesson at Nguyen Ba Ngoc Primary School, incorporating artificial intelligence and IT software, creates interest and enhances learning effectiveness for students.

Nguyen Ba Ngoc Primary School (Ha Long Ward) is currently one of the leading educational institutions in applying information technology and digital software and tools to teaching and learning activities. This not only helps the staff and teachers implement school management and teaching in a modern and highly effective way, but also helps students – the beneficiaries of education – develop more open and flexible thinking in their learning from the primary school level.

Ms. Hoang Thi Le Hang, a teacher at Nguyen Ba Ngoc Primary School, said: "Recognizing the importance of applying information technology and digital transformation in educational activities, and following the guidance and direction of the education sector and the school, our teaching staff has proactively and actively explored, researched, and experimented with new technologies in teaching. Through research, I found that the FutureLang multi-platform foreign language learning application is very effective in providing diverse learning content, high interactivity, and practical application in daily life, so I have equipped it to teach students. Currently, all English teachers at Nguyen Ba Ngoc School are using this teaching software and have seen positive results."

Not only in English, but over the past period, 100% of teachers at Nguyen Ba Ngoc Primary School have proactively exploited digital resources, applied AI, and innovated teaching methods; using software to manage grades and electronic student records to update information and monitor the quality of students' learning and training.

The school has also built a digital learning resource library, effectively utilizing the Ministry's shared learning resource library, enhancing student assessment through online methods, applying teaching software, artificial intelligence, and electronic lectures; 100% of the school's classrooms have IT equipment; and the student and teacher management and educational reporting systems operate stably.

The electronic library has been implemented with management software and a digitized database, initially connecting the learning resource repository. Simultaneously, the school has also deployed various online teaching software and a learning management system (LMS) to support students in their learning and revision. Online learning software such as Zoom, Google Meet, etc., are used in online lessons or blended learning classes, along with applications like Microsoft Teams…

Ms. Mai Thi Man, Principal of Nguyen Ba Ngoc Primary School, said: "To promote digital transformation in education, we have focused on training a team of teachers who are strong in their professional skills, proficient in technology, and especially encouraging teachers to proactively improve their professional knowledge and technological skills, thereby creating an important foundation for the school's comprehensive digital transformation. Ha Long Primary School actively applies artificial intelligence to the design of its lessons, effectively supporting teachers' teaching and making lessons more engaging and interesting for students.

Ha Long Primary School (Hon Gai Ward) is also one of the units actively applying information technology, digital transformation, and artificial intelligence to teaching and learning activities, thereby achieving positive results in improving the quality of management and teaching of staff and teachers and creating a modern, high-quality learning environment for students.

The school has effectively implemented digital student records according to the guidelines of the Ministry of Education and Training , contributing to promoting the digital transformation process in education associated with digital platforms, building shared digital resources, participating in the development of digital government and digital society; and actively participating in the development of a shared digital learning resource repository for the entire sector.

In particular, the school has been strengthening the exploitation and application of artificial intelligence in teaching and learning activities. Simultaneously, it is applying it to all aspects of school work, such as automating administrative management, electronic record keeping, facility management, decision support, early forecasting, policy effectiveness evaluation, and resource allocation optimization.

Ms. Vu Thu Huong, Deputy Principal of Ha Long Primary School, shared: "Over the past time, Ha Long Primary School has consistently updated, trained, and enhanced digital skills for its staff, teachers, students, and parents to meet the requirements of digital transformation in the education sector. We also focus on investing in facilities and IT infrastructure; and training our staff in IT skills to continuously promote innovation in education methods, making teaching and learning in a digital environment a regular, continuous, high-quality, and effective activity. In the 2025-2026 school year, the school will also launch the 'Application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Education' competition to improve IT application skills and digital transformation in teaching and learning activities; and build a high-quality digital learning resource library to serve teaching and learning activities."

Not just limited to a few model examples, the efforts of the Quang Ninh province's Department of Education and Training in applying information technology and digital transformation are also demonstrated by the impressive number of 253 out of 627 schools in the province.   educational institutions from preschool to high school   (accounting for nearly 40.4%)   Recognized by the Ministry of Education and Training as achieving level 3 (the highest level) in digital transformation, 100% of educational institutions in the province have developed plans and organized online teaching on the LMS platform; built digital learning materials and online question banks to meet the self-study and self-training needs of students…

With the determination of the management team, the innovative spirit of the teachers, and the proactiveness of the students, Quang Ninh's education sector is gradually building a modern, creative, and comprehensive learning environment.
