(QBĐT) - In previous years, whenever there was an incident or a new transformer station had to be repaired, maintained, or replaced, the Electricity industry had to cut off power to the entire area for several hours before it could start work. However, thanks to the promotion of hotline technology in electrical repairs, Quang Binh Electricity Company (PC Quang Binh) has solved the "problem" of operating on the 22kV grid without having to cut off power.
To carry out the above difficult and dangerous task, PC Quang Binh has selected workers who meet very strict criteria: Good technical skills, good health and mentality, high sense of organization and discipline. On that basis, PC Quang Binh has sent this force to receive specialized training in hot grid repair, to participate in the examination and be granted a certificate allowing them to work; at the same time, a large amount of funding has been allocated to establish a hot grid repair team, and to purchase specialized, completely insulated equipment to serve the repair work.

In 2018, PC Quang Binh established a Power Grid Hot Repair Team under Quang Binh Power Service Enterprise (abbreviated as Hotline Team 1). In 2019, Hotline Team 1 was merged into the Central Power Service Company. In 2020, PC Quang Binh continued to establish a Power Grid Hot Repair Team (abbreviated as Hotline Team 2) under the company's departments and divisions to reduce dependence and lack of initiative in the work process.
Currently, Hotline Team 2 has 9 members. Since its official operation, on average, Hotline Team 2 has performed over 500 missions per year, contributing to ensuring the 22kV power grid operates safely and continuously, reducing incidents and unusual phenomena, ensuring power supply for socio-economic development in the province, improving power supply reliability, reducing SAIDI, SAIFI, MAIFI indexes for the company. Thanks to strict compliance with the safety procedures for hot power grid repair, since its operation, Hotline Team 2 has ensured absolute safety at work, with no unfortunate accidents...
| In 2023, Hotline Team 2 participated in 435 working sessions, focusing mainly on the following work groups: Installing line isolators; handling contacts of closing and cutting devices (isolators, LBS, REC...); handling other abnormal phenomena (replacing broken porcelain, electric discharge, replacing porcelain neck ties, removing arcs, connecting arcs...). The power supply reliability index in the year is estimated to save 400 minutes of SAIDI and 3.8 times SAIFI. |
Hotline Team 2 Team Leader Le Ngoc Dinh shared: “The hot repair work of the power grid has very strict requirements, because it is carried out on a 22kV power line. Therefore, this work is only allowed to be done when there is enough light and is not allowed to be done in rainy, foggy, windy weather above level 5, or at night. Even a very small mistake can be life-threatening. Therefore, before starting the work shift, the whole team must coordinate to conduct a survey and check the scene very carefully, then consult together, plan the implementation steps, assign specific tasks to each member, ensure that the implementation process must be absolutely accurate, smooth, fast, and follow the procedure... With the love for the chosen profession, the brothers in the team always encourage each other to strive to overcome all difficulties, strictly follow the electrical safety procedure, and are ready to contribute their intelligence and strength to keep the power flow smoothly”.
Due to the nature of the process of performing professional tasks, after each working session or while waiting for the working schedule, when the weather is not favorable..., Hotline Team 2 organizes review and training to supplement practical exercises on the power grid to suit the reality. On that basis, Hotline Team 2 has submitted to PC Quang Binh for consideration and addition to the specific construction plan, such as: Practicing hotline on the grid using insulated rubber gloves and insulated bucket trucks; using insulated gloves and insulated platforms; replacing standing porcelain; handling loose wires, insulating tape, clearing the line corridor; replacing FCO, LBFCO; constructing insulated scaffolding. In addition, Hotline Team 2 also consulted and submitted to PC Quang Binh for consideration and addition to the construction and operation plan and process, including: Performing work on the power grid up to 22kV voltage level (hotline repair); Operation and maintenance of AICHI SH17BFS insulated bucket truck (hotline bucket truck) Management of use, maintenance, and periodic testing of hot electrical repair tools (hotline tools)...
