Currently, Vietnam has about 2 million deaf people, however, the number of sign language interpreters is very modest, most of them are not properly trained. Deaf people face many disadvantages and difficulties in daily communication, accessing many types of services such as shopping, medical examination and treatment, public services, learning about the law, etc.
