At about 5:30 p.m. on May 18, at the intersection of National Highway 1 connecting to the North-South Expressway and National Highway 8C, through Vinh Phu village, Cam Quan commune (Cam Xuyen district, Ha Tinh province), a serious traffic accident occurred between a truck and a car.

Two vehicles were badly damaged after the accident

According to initial information, at the above time, truck 38C-17.xx (driver's identity unknown) was traveling on National Highway 8C from Cam Due commune to Cam Xuyen town (Cam Xuyen district) when it collided with car 38A - 68.xx (driver's identity unknown) traveling on the connecting road from the North-South expressway to National Highway 1.

After the strong collision, truck 38C-17.xx pushed car 38A - 68.xx down the negative slope of the road. Both vehicles were severely damaged, with many parts deformed.

On the evening of May 18, the damaged vehicle was towed away from the scene.

That same evening, a leader of the People's Committee of Cam Quan commune said that according to initial information, the accident left 4 people injured, including 2 seriously injured. The victims were taken to the hospital for emergency treatment.

Immediately after receiving the report, the Traffic Police Department of Ha Tinh Province promptly arrived at the scene to coordinate with relevant agencies to investigate the cause of the accident.
