The female athlete born in 1992 is currently in charge of management training and staff training at Dolphin Swim School Club. In addition to her main job, she also spends time providing free swimming training to amateur athletes when she founded the Baby Shark group.

Before the Aqua Warriors Quang Binh 2025 tournament which will start on August 2, the female swimmer born in 1992 from Thanh Hoa had an interesting conversation with Dan Tri reporter.

Hello Trang, everyone is still very impressed with you after your recent championship at the Aqua Warriors Halong Bay tournament in April 2025. What are your feelings and impressions after the tournaments organized by Dan Tri newspaper and Bolt Event recently?

- Honestly, each Aqua Warrior tournament leaves me with very special emotions. The first thing is the professionalism in the organization from Dan Tri newspaper and Bolt Event - from the race track, safety work to the cheering spirit of the audience, everything is wonderful.

In addition, I clearly feel that the swimming community is growing stronger and more connected, especially when competing with passionate and determined amateur athletes. The recent competitions have truly been a great source of motivation for me to continue training and contributing.

It is known that you and the members of the Club will continue to participate in the Aqua Warrior tournament in Quang Binh next August. How are you and your teammates preparing so far?

- Our club is entering a period of intensive training for the Quang Binh tournament this August. Each week, we maintain 4-6 training sessions, combining endurance swim sessions, transition techniques, and interval & sprint sessions.

In addition, the team also has gym and running sessions to improve overall fitness. In terms of skills, we pay special attention to real-life situations in the competition such as open-water swimming, sighting, quick water entry/exit techniques, and teamwork in the Relay event. All to achieve the best performance when competing at Nhat Le beach.

Many people are curious when your club has an impressive name, Baby Shark. What does that name mean?

- The name "Baby Shark" was originally a way we teased each other - small but mighty, and especially... extremely energetic underwater! Gradually, that name became the team's identity - fun, passionate but always aiming for standard techniques and fair-play competition.

How many members does your team have now and will there be many bright faces participating in the upcoming tournament in Quang Binh?

- Our club currently has more than 40 members who regularly participate in activities and practice together. Many members of Baby Shark have continuously stood on the podium at Aqua Warrior competitions and have impressive personal achievements. This is also the motivation for the whole team to develop together, improve their skills and spread positive sportsmanship to the community.

Having continuously stood on the podium at many Aqua Warrior tournaments in the past, can you reveal any of your own secrets? What goals have you set for yourself at this tournament in Quang Binh?

- For me, the most important thing is stability in training. It doesn't have to be too strict, but it has to be regular and have a clear plan. Before each tournament, I usually spend 4-6 weeks getting into a deep training routine, while also focusing on recovery, diet and sleep.

Another thing is that I always keep a relaxed mindset before and during the race - seeing each race as an opportunity to challenge myself instead of putting pressure on myself to win. In Quang Binh, my goal is to break my personal record in the 2km distance, and compete with the Baby Shark team for a high ranking in the Full Aqua Warriors Relay.

To be able to compete well in the Aqua Warriors Quang Binh 2025 tournament, what do you think athletes need to prepare?

- First is getting used to swimming in the ocean - because ocean water is very different from swimming pools in terms of buoyancy, currents, waves and visibility. Athletes should practice orienting skills, swimming in groups, and dealing with the psychology of not being able to see the bottom.

The second is overall physical preparation, especially for Relays or combination events. Finally, competition tactics - knowing how to conserve energy, choose the right swimming lane and coordinate effectively with teammates. These small things can make a big difference.

In your opinion, what makes the tournament in Quang Binh different from other tournaments?

- For me, the Aqua Warrior Quang Binh 2025 is the perfect combination of nature, sport and community. Nhat Le beach is both beautiful and challenging, the wind and waves there always create an interesting "game" rather than just swimming fast.

In addition, the gathering of many strong clubs nationwide creates a very exciting competition and cheering atmosphere. It is a place where athletes can both contribute and connect - an experience that I think everyone should try at least once.

Thank you for this interesting conversation!
