The price of 9999 gold this afternoon was listed by DOJI at 74.98 million VND/tael for buying and 76.98 million VND/tael for selling.
At Mi Hong Jewelry Company, the price of Mi Hong gold at the time of survey was listed at 76.50 - 76.98 million VND/tael (buy - sell).
SJC gold price at Bao Tin Minh Chau Company Limited is also traded by the enterprise at 75.50 - 76.98 million VND/tael (buy in - sell out). Meanwhile, at Bao Tin Manh Hai, it is being traded at 76,000 - 76.98 million VND/tael (buy in - sell out).
The price of SJC gold bars continued to stabilize at 76.98 million VND/tael for sale, while the price of gold rings reversed and decreased slightly following the downward trend of world gold prices.
Specifically, at Saigon Jewelry Company (SJC), plain gold rings decreased by 50,000 VND/tael to 74.5 - 75.6 million VND/tael, similarly, DOJI Group listed the price of gold rings at 74.5 - 75.8 million VND/tael, recording a decrease of 100,000 VND/tael.
The central exchange rate listed by the State Bank is 24,258 VND/USD, up 5 VND/USD. The USD price at commercial banks is traded around 25,220 VND/USD for buying and 25,470 VND/USD for selling.

World gold price this afternoon June 26, 2024 and world gold price fluctuation chart in the past 24 hours
According to Kitco, the world gold price recorded at 2:00 p.m. today, Vietnam time, was 2,316.32 USD/ounce. This afternoon's gold price decreased by 7.74 USD/ounce compared to yesterday's gold price. Converted according to the current exchange rate at Vietcombank, the world gold price is about 70.184 million VND/tael (excluding taxes and fees). Thus, the price of SJC gold bars is still 4.796 million VND/tael higher than the international gold price.

World gold for immediate delivery stood at $2,316.32/ounce, down more than $7/ounce compared to the same trading session yesterday. The yellow precious metal fell in the context of the US Conference Board just announced that their consumer confidence index fell to 100.4 in June, down from May's level of 101.3. This caused gold to react, falling to a session low before the latest economic data.
In addition, in today's trading session, the USD, Euro, JPY (Japanese Yen), GBP (British Pound), CAD (Canadian Dollar), SEK (Swedish Krona) and CHF (Swiss Franc) currencies also reacted strongly to the newly released economic data, thus putting gold at a disadvantage. However, the gold price still fluctuated in the range of 2,300 - 2,350 USD/ounce.
Gold price forecast
Looking ahead to gold, analysts expect the precious metal to remain range-bound ahead of Friday's Personal Consumption Expenditures (PCE) Index, the Federal Reserve's preferred inflation gauge.
Additionally, according to precious metals strategists at Heraeus, gold prices will continue to receive support from strong central bank buying even as Chinese purchases slow, while both silver and gold could see Indian demand fall later this year.
