After 79 revolutionary autumns, the appearance of Phu Tho province in general and Viet Tri city in particular has become increasingly spacious and modern.
The epic opens a new era
The success of the August Revolution on August 19, 1945, helped our people escape the suffering of “double yoke” under the colonial and semi-feudal regime. Vietnamese history officially turned a new, brighter page from the moment President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence, giving birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam at a rally at Ba Dinh Square on September 2, 1945.
The Declaration of Independence, though brief, only over 1,000 words, is the highest and most condensed summary of the content of our People's revolutionary struggle for independence - a revolution that brought about unprecedented changes in the nation's history, building a future society without class oppression, without exploitation of man by man, and at the same time bringing the Vietnamese People from slavery to becoming the masters of an independent Vietnam.
Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Trong Tho - Deputy Director of the Institute of Party History, Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics affirmed: The Declaration of Independence is not only a strict and sharp historical document, containing core contents, with a solid legal basis, affirming the national sovereignty of the Vietnamese people before the world, but also opening a new period for our nation and our people on the path of construction and development, enhancing the position of Vietnam in the international arena.
The Declaration of Independence is also a "great piece of literature of the ages", crystallizing the steadfast and indomitable historical tradition of our nation, a heroic epic that opened a new era for the Vietnamese nation - the era of independence and freedom and contributed to enriching the right to self-determination of nations in the world - the right to independence and freedom. The Declaration of Independence ended with an iron determination: "Vietnam has the right to enjoy freedom and independence and in fact has become a free and independent country. The entire Vietnamese people are determined to devote all their spirit and strength, their lives and property to maintaining that freedom and independence".
The Declaration officially pointed out a new revolutionary government of the Vietnamese People built and matured according to the wishes of all classes of the People and the entire Vietnamese nation. The Declaration of Independence affirmed the iron will, unshakable, and at the same time the eternal philosophy of life of the Vietnamese people discovered by President Ho Chi Minh: "Nothing is more precious than independence and freedom".
The brilliant milestone of the August Revolution and the Declaration of Independence on September 2, 1945, with the Declaration of Independence giving birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, is a historical mark, an immortal heroic epic of our nation, opening a new era - the era of an independent country, a free, prosperous and happy people - the Ho Chi Minh era - the era when the country and people of Vietnam hold their heads high, integrate with other countries and peoples in the world to join hands in fighting, preserving and determined to realize the most beautiful wish of human life: "The right to life, the right to freedom and the right to pursue happiness".
Transport infrastructure is expanded, conveniently connecting from urban to rural areas, meeting the production and living needs of the people.
Continue to uphold the "Oath of Independence"

The heroic Declaration of Independence, the oath of the entire Vietnamese people "to devote all their spirit and strength, their lives and property to maintain that freedom and independence" and the great aspiration "Nothing is more precious than independence and freedom" have always been a source of great internal strength, consolidated and cultivated in the long march against the French colonialists and the invading American imperialists, encouraging and motivating the army and people of the whole country to stand firm and move forward to achieve new victories.

Moved and proud, comrade Dinh Thi Tuyet Mai - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union affirmed: "Our young generation was born to live in an independent, free, prosperous and happy country. We will strive to cultivate virtue, train our talents, constantly strive to study, work, cultivate morality, and be pioneers in the construction and development of our homeland and country".
