The final Grand Slam of the year in New York will be the first event to top $90 million in prize money, as the US Tennis Association once again offers the biggest prize money in tennis history, surpassing the $75 million prize money of the 2024 US Open.
The men's and women's singles champions at the 2025 US Open will receive $5 million, a 39% increase from the $3.6 million prize money of the 2024 US Open. This is the largest prize in tennis history for the winner of the final match.
The tournament has made a concerted effort to ensure that prize money across all rounds increases by double digits from 2024, while also significantly increasing the percentage of prize money awarded to players who advance in singles events. In addition to the increase in prize money for the men’s and women’s singles champions, the tournament has also increased prize money in other rounds. This follows years of strategic focus on reallocating prize money in the early rounds and qualifying to provide meaningful rewards for all players.
Prize money in the men's and women's doubles events has also been significantly increased to support players participating in the tournament (up 23% to US$4.78 million from US$3.89 million in 2024). For the first time, the winning pairs in the men's, women's and mixed doubles tournaments will receive US$1 million.
Prize money for the men's and women's qualifying tournaments will increase to a record $8 million.
In addition to the prize money, as has been the norm in recent years, the US Open has made an effort to help reduce personal expenses for all players participating in the tournament. All players will receive a $1,000 travel allowance, as well as two hotel rooms at the official player hotel (or $600 per day if the player chooses to stay elsewhere). Players will also receive free stringing for up to five racquets per round.
