Returning to the source, giving bicycles to orphaned, studious students

At the National Historical Site where the first Communist Party cell in Phu Yen province was established (Long Binh quarter, La Hai town, Dong Xuan district), the Administrative - Executive Party Cell of Phu Yen Newspaper Party Committee organized incense offering, source activities and gave gifts to disadvantaged students of Phan Luu Thanh Secondary School.

Attending the incense offering ceremony were the Party Committee, Editorial Board of Phu Yen Newspaper and leaders of La Hai Town Party Committee, Long Binh Ward Party Cell.

At the program, party members learned about the history of the first Communist Party cell in Phu Yen and the relic site. Nearly 95 years ago, on October 5, 1930, in Dong Be hamlet, Phuoc Long village, Xuan Long commune (now Long Binh quarter, La Hai town), Dong Xuan district, the first Communist Party cell in Phu Yen was established, consisting of 9 comrades, with comrade Phan Luu Thanh as Secretary. The birth of the first Communist Party cell in Phu Yen opened a new era for the revolutionary movement in Phu Yen, responding to the urgent aspirations of the people in the province. From here, the revolutionary struggle movement of the Phu Yen people had the guidance and direction of the communist organization - a decisive factor for the victory of the revolutionary movement in Phu Yen later.

On this occasion, the Administrative - Management Party Cell presented gifts to 6 orphaned, poor but studious students of Phan Luu Thanh Secondary School. Each child received a bicycle worth 1.5 million VND and 2 gifts. The gifts were supported by the Social Work - Charity Committee of Phu Yen Newspaper connecting units and individuals. Of which, Phu Yen Petroleum - Oil Joint Stock Company donated 2 bicycles; Mr. Nguyen Huu Cua, Head of Xu Nau TV Group donated 2 bicycles; the remaining number (2 bicycles and 12 gifts) were sent by readers of Phu Yen Newspaper.
