On the occasion of the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2025), we returned to visit the traditional house of the Hong Linh Party Cell in the Hon Chua mountain area, Dai An village, Nhon My commune (An Nhon town), where the first communist cell in An Nhon was born.
According to the history of the An Nhon Town Party Committee, in late 1930 and early 1931, the Binh Dinh mass movement developed quite vigorously. To stop the movement, the French colonialists and their henchmen intensified white terror. The revolutionary movement suffered heavy losses, and many grassroots revolutionary organizations were broken up.

During the years 1932 - 1935, the revolutionary movement in the whole province fell into a very difficult period. After April 1936, a number of political prisoners imprisoned in Quy Nhon, Buon Ma Thuot, and Kon Tum prisons were released, including Mr. Huynh Dang Tho.
Returning to An Nhon, Mr. Huynh Dang Tho actively propagated enlightenment and developed the Party for a number of young people and active farmers in the villages of Dai An, Dai Binh (An Nhon), An Vinh, Thu Thien (Binh Khe), contacted a number of party members in La Hai ( Phu Yen ) to work together and contacted their superiors.
When the conditions were ripe, on the evening of October 20, 1936, at Hon Chua Mountain, a Party cell was established, named Hong Linh (the name of a high mountain range in Ha Tinh province, symbolizing the power of the cell). Initially, the cell had 7 members, with Mr. Nguyen Man as Secretary; the area of operation included villages and communes in An Nhon, Binh Khe and the south of Phu Cat.
After its establishment, the Party Cell promoted activities to develop party members, build mass organizations, especially mutual aid and charity associations to widely gather local farmers and craftsmen; provide political education to the masses, mobilize the masses to participate in struggles for people's rights, democracy, and against high taxes; assign people to go to Hue to contact the Provisional Regional Party Committee, maintain contact with the group of party members in La Hai...
The birth of the Hong Linh Party Cell had great significance, marking a new stage of development of the revolutionary movement in Binh Dinh. The Hong Linh Party Cell was the predecessor of the present-day Tay Son, An Nhon and Phu Cat District Party Cells.
On May 12, 1997, the birthplace of the Hong Linh Party Cell was ranked as a provincial revolutionary relic by the Provincial People's Committee. In 2016, the Hong Linh Party Cell Relic Site was invested in construction with a total investment of nearly 28 billion VND, with the following items: Memorial house, relic exhibition house, guest house, relic stele, lookout hill, gateway, square...
Deputy Secretary of An Nhon City Party Committee Dao Xuan Huy said: The Hong Linh Party Cell Historical Relic Site is the pride of the Party Committee, government, army and people of An Nhon in particular, and Binh Dinh in general, in the revolutionary struggle for national independence and building a rich and beautiful homeland, and is also a "red address" to educate revolutionary traditions for young generations today and tomorrow.
Mr. Dang Van Lanh, Secretary of the Nhon My Commune Party Committee, said: Over the years, the Hong Linh Party Cell Relic Site has become the place to organize many important events of the An Nhon Town Party Committee. This is the place to award Party badges, admit new Party members of many Party cells, is the source address of the Youth Union inside and outside the town, is the place to honor exemplary students of the town...
