On the morning of May 9, Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee held a press conference to inform about the 2025 Sea Culture - Tourism Festival which will take place throughout June in Nha Trang City.
At the press conference, Mr. Dinh Van Thieu - Vice Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee - said the reason for moving the Nha Trang Sea Festival 2025 to next year was due to issues related to the arrangement of local administrative units.
According to Mr. Thieu, the organization and arrangement of commune-level administrative units in Khanh Hoa, as well as the expected completion of the merger with Ninh Thuan this year, have led to many changes, and many issues have arisen, so the organization of the sea festival has been postponed.
"After 10 times of organization, it is expected that this year's Nha Trang Sea Festival will be moved to 2026. This 11th time could be a special festival, organized when there have been changes in the local administration," said Mr. Thieu.
According to Mr. Thieu, the organization of the Sea Culture - Tourism Festival in Nha Trang this year will be different from the sea festival in terms of meaning and organization form. The Sea Culture - Tourism Festival carries the breath of the sea throughout the activities, especially aimed at the community and tourists coming to Nha Trang.

According to the organizers, all preparations for this festival are being completed, ready to welcome international visitors and friends to attend. Currently, 37 units from 16 countries have registered to participate in activities at this year's festival.
The organizers also said that to avoid unfortunate incidents related to security and safety for tourists, or issues related to prices and amenities for tourists participating in the festival, Khanh Hoa province has implemented synchronous solutions to elevate the event and create a strong impression on the public.
Related areas are strictly managed, from urban beautification, infrastructure investment to upgrading tourism facilities... to ensure good security and order, social safety, food safety and hygiene, aiming to bring the best experience to residents and tourists.
The 2025 Sea Culture - Tourism Festival with the theme "Nha Trang say hi" takes place from the end of May to throughout June 2025 with 36 attractive cultural, sports and artistic activities.
The highlight will be the "Nha Trang say hi" music festival held on the night of June 7 with the participation of famous singers from the "Anh trai say hi" program, combined with a high-altitude fireworks display at sea, an international cultural exchange program, and a street carnival parade (from June 7 to 9).
