(HGO) – From December 1, 2023, the provincial Social Insurance (SI) will stop printing paper health insurance cards and sending them to the provincial Employment Service Center to pay to employees receiving unemployment benefits (EC).
Instead, the provincial Social Insurance will renew the health insurance card on the data system managed by the social insurance sector and send the list of issued cards to the provincial Employment Service Center to know the value of the health insurance card of employees receiving unemployment benefits.
Instead of printing paper cards, the provincial Social Insurance will renew health insurance cards on the data system managed by the Social Insurance sector for people receiving unemployment benefits.
In response to this change, the provincial Social Insurance Department requested the Provincial Employment Service Center to inform employees who submit their application for unemployment benefits about the suspension of printing paper health insurance cards by the Social Insurance Agency from December 1, 2023. At the same time, instruct employees to use chip-embedded citizen identification cards (CCCD), health insurance cards integrated on the VNeID application that have been electronically identified at level 2, health insurance cards integrated on the "VssID-Social Insurance Number" application to replace paper health insurance cards or use previously issued paper health insurance cards to go to health insurance clinics. At the same time, propagate to employees when submitting their application for unemployment benefits to install the "VssID-Social Insurance Number" application to look up information about the process of participating in and enjoying social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance policies.
Medical examination and treatment facilities in the province provide guidance and receive health insurance cards on the "VssID-Social Insurance" application, the VNeID electronic identification application, and chip-embedded CCCD to perform medical examination and treatment, ensuring full rights of health insurance participants according to regulations.
In case the health insurance participant comes to the health care facility for medical examination and treatment but has not installed or has installed but has not successfully activated the "VssID-Social Insurance Number" application, the VNeID level 2 electronic identification application (with integrated health insurance card) , the chip-embedded CCCD has not been synchronized with the health insurance participation data, the health care facility is requested to instruct the health insurance participant to immediately contact the provincial social insurance agency ( via the hotline of Hau Giang provincial social insurance agency at 0293.3583355, the Collection Management Department - Books, Cards at 0293.3870130 ) for support, resolution.
