The 2025 exam took place from May 5 to 12 in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, bringing together 192 candidates from 40 countries and territories.
This is one of the most difficult academic exams for high school students with a passion for Chemistry.
Two Gold Medals went to Tran Trung Kien (Amsterdam High School for the Gifted, Hanoi ) with 169.25 points, and Nguyen Ngo Duc (Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted, Nghe An) with 151.05 points.
Two Silver Medals were awarded to Dinh Trong An (High School for Gifted Students in Natural Sciences , Vietnam National University, Hanoi) and Tran Hoang Nam (grade 11, Amsterdam High School for Gifted Students, Hanoi).
