[Video] Summer infectious diseases are on the rise

NDO - The Ministry of Health believes that hot, humid, rainy summer weather is the time when diseases transmitted through the digestive tract, respiratory tract, and mosquito-borne diseases can increase rapidly.

The Ministry of Health warns that the infectious disease situation in the country and internationally remains complicated. Vietnam has recorded cases of human infection with influenza A(H5N1), while measles is increasing among children aged 11-15. Some infectious diseases such as dengue fever and hand-foot-mouth disease are also on the rise in some localities.

In the context of hot and humid summer weather and heavy rain, which are favorable conditions for disease outbreaks, the Ministry of Health requires localities to strengthen coordination with the health sector, drastically implement disease prevention and control measures and promote expanded vaccination, not missing out on those who need to be vaccinated.
