[Video] Expected to spend 30.6 trillion VND to exempt and reduce tuition fees from the 2025-2026 school year

NDO - The draft policy on tuition exemption for public school students and tuition support for private school students will be submitted to the National Assembly at the next session. The total budget is expected to be around VND30,600 billion. The policy helps reduce financial burden and move towards a fair education.

On the afternoon of April 25, the National Assembly Standing Committee considered the Draft Resolution on tuition exemption and support policies for preschool children and primary school students, expected to be submitted to the National Assembly at the 9th Session and applied from the 2025-2026 school year.

Total estimated implementation cost is about 30.6 trillion VND .

According to Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son, the Draft stipulates tuition exemption for public school students and tuition support for non-public school students. Of which, the budget to support the public sector is 28.7 trillion VND , and the private sector is 1.9 trillion VND .
