At the meeting, Prof. Nguyen Quoc Sy - Director of VinIT Institute of Technology and the focal point connecting investors from the Russian Federation and Italy, presented many ideas and investment orientations for strategic projects in Quang Nam .
Notably, the proposal to build an International University of Technology, a High-Tech Industrial Park and a Duty-Free Zone specializing in free trade for energy and mineral products imported from Russia is proposed.
Assessing Quang Nam's great potential in terms of geography, transport infrastructure, as well as its role in connecting the Central Key Economic Zone, the investor representative said that if the projects are implemented in the right direction, they will not only bring about socio-economic efficiency but also contribute to positioning Quang Nam as a new educational and technological center in the region.
Prof. Nguyen Quoc Sy emphasized the spirit of readiness to coordinate with Quang Nam authorities and relevant agencies to carry out specific preparation steps, ensure feasibility and compliance with investment procedures in Vietnam. At the same time, he expected the province to continue to accompany, remove obstacles and create favorable conditions for investors to confidently promote these large-scale projects.
Concluding the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Dung highly appreciated the dedication and vision of VinIT Institute of Technology as well as international partners. At the same time, he affirmed that Quang Nam is always proactive in expanding international cooperation, especially in the fields of high technology,education , industry and strategic trade.
Mr. Le Van Dung emphasized that when there is a specific investor, the province will proactively coordinate to provide information, create conditions for research and investment proposals. If the project is consistent with the planning and development orientation of the province and the country, the province is ready to strongly promote it, not only with investors from Russia but also from many other countries. This is a step to concretize important orientations such as science and technology development according to Resolution 57 of the Politburo, university village planning, as well as industrial parks and key economic zones of the province.
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Provincial Economic Zones and Industrial Zones Management Board to coordinate with departments and branches to carefully review and advise on a suitable implementation roadmap. Quang Nam Province hopes that this cooperative relationship will open up sustainable development opportunities for both sides in the coming time.
