Yoshiichi and Emiko Nakazawa (Japanese nationality) are still angry when they think about the nursing home that took care of their mother, suddenly and quietly closing down, leaving them unable to react.

The nursing home is located in Amagasaki City and has been in operation for over 15 years. Her mother is one of 23 elderly people being cared for there.

"In the morning, they called us to say the nursing home would be closed at the end of the day. My mother was taken somewhere else, but we didn't know where. We didn't get any explanation either.

Normally, nursing homes have to give a few weeks' notice, but this is too sudden," Emiko was angry.

Upon hearing the announcement, the couple rushed to the nursing home and witnessed a chaotic scene.

"Everyone was scared, some elderly people were crying. The nursing home representative told me the name of the facility my mother was staying at, but when I contacted them, it was not the same. In the end, I found my mother in a completely different place than the representative said," Emiko said.

When Emiko found her mother, she saw that she was wearing only one set of clothes. All her clothes and personal belongings had been left at the old nursing home.

A receptionist said that a few days ago, this nursing home asked them to take in 10 elderly people for care.

"They did not share the reason with us because they have not told the staff and relatives of the elderly. We were forced to accept them because they informed us that the elderly would have nowhere to go," the employee said.

It is known that 30 employees here were also fired unexpectedly. The chairman of the nursing home said that because they were having difficulties in management, they could not continue to operate the business.

In an interview with MBS, a lawyer representing the nursing home said: "We have closed our business and are in bankruptcy proceedings. We cannot comment on anything else."
