Visiting comrade Khamtay Siphandone, former President of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party

Upon hearing the news that comrade Khamtay Siphandone, former Chairman of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, former President, former Prime Minister of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, passed away last night, a delegation of leaders of Ha Tinh province led by comrade Tran Tu Anh, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council - in charge of the Provincial People's Council, came to pay their respects to comrade Khamtay Siphandone.

The funeral of former President of the Lao PDR Khamtay Siphandone was held solemnly and dignifiedly in the capital Vientiane.

At the funeral, comrade Tran Tu Anh, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council and members of the delegation expressed their condolences at the passing of comrade Khamtay Siphandone, a loyal, affectionate, and steadfast friend, a close comrade, always standing shoulder to shoulder with Vietnam throughout the struggle to protect the Fatherland and build the country of the two nations.

The delegation of Ha Tinh province led by comrade Tran Tu Anh - Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council observed a minute of silence in memory of comrade Khamtay Siphandone.

At the same time, he sent his deepest condolences to all Lao people and the family of comrade Khamtay Siphandone. On behalf of the Party Committee, government and people of Ha Tinh province, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council wrote in the condolence book: "Deeply mourning comrade Khamtay Siphandone, a staunch communist, an outstanding leader of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party and the great friendship - special solidarity - comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, two States and the people of Vietnam - Laos".

On behalf of the leaders of Ha Tinh province, comrade Tran Tu Anh wrote in the condolence book, expressing deep condolences and gratitude for comrade Khamtay Siphandone's contributions to the special friendship between Vietnam and Laos.
