Goh Choon Phong, CEO of SIA, said the award is a testament to the "indomitable spirit of our employees, who work tirelessly and achieve many things".
The World Airline Awards are an annual award ceremony organized by international air transport rating organization Skytrax. The awards were first presented in 1999 and are described as “completely independent and impartial”. The costs of the surveys of passengers, experts and event organizers are covered by Skytrax, and are not influenced by airlines.
The survey was conducted online from September 2022 to May 2023 in English, French, Spanish, Russian, Japanese and Chinese. Voters came from over 100 countries. The survey was screened to identify the IP address of each vote, user information, and duplicate, suspicious or invalid votes were removed to provide the most accurate results. More than 300 airlines were honored in over 80 categories.
