The visit to China by General Secretary andPresident To Lam demonstrates Vietnam's high regard for developing the friendly neighborly relationship and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and China. General Secretary and President To Lam and his wife are about to visit China. Secretary of the Party Central Committee and Head of the Party Central Committee's Commission for External Relations Le Hoai Trung said that this is the first visit to China by General Secretary and President To Lam in his new position at the invitation of General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping. The visit aims to affirm the importance and top priority given to the Vietnam-China relationship in foreign policy; thereby, continuing the highest-level strategic dialogue; strengthening the good relationship between the two leaders of the two Parties and two countries. The Head of the Central External Relations Commission emphasized that Vietnam wishes to work with China to promote the implementation of high-level joint agreements, especially those reached during the historic visit of late General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong to China in 2022 and the visit of General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping to Vietnam in 2023. The spirit is to strengthen and further deepen the Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership and build a Vietnam-China Community of Shared Future of strategic significance.
