Vietnam has more than 100 medals.

(CPV) - By 8:00 p.m. on June 6, the Vietnam Paralympic Sports Delegation had more than 100 medals on the medal tally of the 12th ASEAN Para Games.

Specifically, the Vietnam Paralympic Sports Delegation won 34 gold medals, 35 silver medals and 51 bronze medals at the 12th ASEAN Para Games.

On June 6, the Weightlifting team continued to compete impressively to bring home 2 more gold medals for the Vietnam Sports Delegation for the Disabled. Weightlifter Nguyen Van Hung won both gold medals in the Men's 72kg weight class after successfully conquering the 155kg weight and achieving a total lift of 458kg.

Nguyen Van Hung's achievements helped the Vietnam Para Weightlifting Team win 10 gold medals at the Para Games held in Cambodia. The previous 8 gold medals that the Vietnam Team won belonged to Chau Hoang Tuyet Loan, Dang Thi Linh Phuong, Le Van Cong and Nguyen Binh An.

The Athletics team also had a successful day when they brought home 3 more gold medals at the 12th ASEAN Para Games. Vo Van Tung won the gold medal in the Men's Shot Put category F34 with a score of 7.3 meters. His teammate Truong Bich Van also won first place in the Women's Shot Put category F56 with a score of 6.49 meters. In the Javelin category F56, athlete Trinh Cong Luan achieved a feat with a score of 24.49 meters. His score was 5 meters higher than the runner-up athlete.

Thus, after 3 official competition days of ASEAN Para Games 12, the Athletics team contributed 8 gold medals to the Vietnam Para Sports Delegation.

On the green track, Trinh Thi Bich Nhu dominated the 200m medley SM6 disabled category, winning gold with a time of 3:38.46.

Also on the competition day of June 6, Bich Nhu's teammates brought home 5 silver medals and 3 bronze medals for the Vietnam Paralympic Sports Delegation. The silver medalists were Truong Quang Gon (100m backstroke, S9-SBS); Nguyen Van Tung (100m butterfly, S11-SB11); Nguyen Thi Sari (200m medley, S5-SB4); Ho Thi Loan (200m medley, S10-SB9) and the men's mixed relay team (Truong Quang Gon, Nguyen Quang Vuong, Nguyen Ngoc Thiet and Vo Huynh Anh Khoa). Meanwhile, the bronze medals were won by Vo Huynh Anh Khoa (100m butterfly, S8-SB7), Nguyen Ngoc Thiet (100m butterfly, S9-SB8) and Nguyen Duc Hau (100m butterfly, S13)./.
