At the extraordinary meeting of the Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) held in Vienna, Ambassador Vu Le Thai Hoang, Head of the Permanent Delegation of Vietnam to the IAEA, expressed deep concern about the escalating tension in the Middle East, especially after the airstrikes on Iran's nuclear facilities on June 21-22.
Speaking at the meeting, the Ambassador emphasized that actions using force, violating national sovereignty and international law not only seriously threaten regional and global peace and security but also weaken the nuclear non-proliferation system and hinder IAEA cooperation efforts.
Ambassador Vu Le Thai Hoang strongly opposed any attacks on nuclear facilities under IAEA supervision, warning that these actions pose serious risks to nuclear security and safety, threatening people's lives and the environment.
