On the afternoon of October 25, at the headquarters of the Central External Relations Commission, Comrade Le Hoai Trung, Secretary of the Party Central Committee and Head of the Central External Relations Commission, received Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand Parnpree Bahiddha-Nukara, who is on an official visit to Vietnam.

Comrade Le Hoai Trung warmly welcomed Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Parnpree Bahiddha-Nukara to visit Vietnam on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the strategic partnership between the two countries; informed about the foreign policy of the Party and State of Vietnam, and affirmed that Vietnam always attaches importance to and wishes to promote the friendship and enhanced strategic partnership with Thailand.

Expressing his joy on his first official visit to Vietnam in his new position, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Parnpree Bahiddha-Nukara conveyed the Thai Prime Minister's regards to General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister Parnpree Bahiddha-Nukara congratulated the achievements that the Government and people of Vietnam under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam have made in socio-economic development and maintaining political stability.

The two sides highly appreciated the strong, substantive and effective development of the cooperative relationship between Vietnam and Thailand; agreed to continue to strengthen political trust, maintain security and defense cooperation, promote trade and investment exchanges and enhance people-to-people exchanges.

The two sides also discussed cooperation through Party channels and a number of regional and international issues of mutual concern.
